Titre : Plasma gun triggering system in a pulsed magnetic mirror device Type de document : Travail de fin d'études Auteurs : Hala ETAFIRA, Auteur ; Choongki SUNG, ; Franky De Bruyne, Editeur : ECAM Année de publication : 2024 Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Régulation Index. décimale : TFE - Automatique Résumé : In the final year of my Master's program, I undertook a thesis project, an integral part of my academic journey, at the Fusion and Plasma Dynamics Laboratory within the Department of Nuclear and Quantum Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology(KAIST). This laboratory houses the KAIMIR device, a pulsed magnetic mirror experiment aimed at advancing plasma research. The focus of my Master's thesis was to develop a triggering system for the plasma gun in KAIMIR, based on real-time pressure measurements, with the objective of improving the precision and timing of plasma injections into the magnetic mirror device. The complexity of this task lays in the precise synchronization of the plasma gun's firing with specific pressure conditions within the experiment chamber. This project encompassed several stages, including signal processing of pressure data, implementation of trigger control system, and the development of a real-time replay system. This real-time replay system aims to utilize previously acquired datasets to simulate the various triggers to be sent to the magnetic mirror device, KAMIR.
